Are You Not Able to Smell Your Pura Right Now?

No one likes it when something isn't working the way that it's supposed to be!

Here at Pura we want to make sure your experience is equal to the premium design and craftsmanship of your device and fragrances.

First of all, we are always trying to improve your experience because we truly care about you. As a young company, we greatly appreciate your feedback.

Well let's get to it, if you can't smell Pura here are quite a few tips and hints as to what might be wrong! So please read carefully and let's make sure the world smells a little bit better! :)

Let's Make Sure You're Connected

The most important thing is to make sure your Pura is connected to your phone and your WiFi by following the directions on the box, or in the app.

Here's a little refresher course:

1. Download and launch the Pura app.

2. Create an account in the app and launch the onboarding sequence.

3. Scan the QR code on the back of your device and then plug it in facing up.

4. The nightlight will flash blue, meaning that Pura is ready to pair. Select your WiFi network or search for it, if it doesn't appear.

5. Connect to your WiFi network. The nightlight will turn green when it has properly connected to your WiFi network.

6. Scan the QR Codes of your selected fragrances and insert them into the correct bays (make sure to unscrew the lid and that they double click into the device).

7. Put on the magnetic cover and usually the device will update to the most recent software update (if the cover is not sitting on properly, make sure your fragrances are inserted completely into the bay). The light will turn white when it is complete.

8. You are good to go! It's connected! :)

Do You Still Have Fragrance Left?

Remove the vial out of the device and look to see how much fragrance is left in the vial.

This process will get much easier very soon. We are optimizing level sensing and hope to have a beta version of level sensing ready for you in our next app update.

Do You Need To Adjust the Intensity?

Go into the app and turn up the scent if it is on a low setting and you want to smell it more.

Remember that some scent notes burn quicker than others, so if you cannot smell your scent in a large space, try moving the device into a smaller space. It will be stronger there.

Try Relocating Your Device

Place the device away from vents or areas that have constant airflow (near windows, frequented doors, etc). This helps the scent disperse throughout the room better.

Relocating a device can sometimes be the biggest difference maker in how Pura fills a space within your home. You shouldn't have to reset the device if you move it and it stays on the same WiFi network, but expect about a minute delay after you plug it in to the new location.

Sometimes you might need more than one device to fill a space depending on how tall your ceilings are or the layout of the room.

Remember Fragrances Vary in Potency and So Does Your Sniffer :)

If none of these tips have worked for you, try out a new fragrance. We offer a free fragrance exchange on all of our fragrances. So please, take advantage of that. We encourage you to try out what works best for your home, your preferences and your space.

Some scents are more subtle than others, this is due to the natural qualities of the ingredients that we use. Because we use all pure and clean ingredients, some scents are naturally more potent or more subtle than others.

Additionally, everyone has an exclusive smell print. So check with your guests and friends if they can smell the fragrance. It is unlikely that if all of you can't smell it that it is being optimized properly for your space.

Still No Solution?
